I would rather see a shooting competition using just period muskets then a bunch of non-period weapons.  We can get some targets and see if we can actually use these weapons.  We then give out some sort of plaque for the best shot.  The longest shot.  You get the idea.

I to agree that we should use only civil war type weapons during our live shoots , it just keeps with the spirit of what we do. But what does every one else think

I am willing to indulge a left over weapon from the Revolutionary War as perhaps some grandfather handed it down through the family.  No, Fred you can not bring a weapon from the Spanish American War.

Waxhaw the same weekend as the NFL Superbowl as then we will not miss any playoff games and we will still be home in time to watch the Superbowl.  The weekend is Jan 31 and Feb this puts us 3 weeks after the event at Latta and 3 weeks before Aiken if we decide we want to go to Aiken.  The 1st Sergeant is no fan of leaving a camp once in place but I can arrange for a live fire exercise and competition about 30-40 minutes away in Anson County.  Or we could try to find some place in Union County willing to let bullets fly.
