I'm open to a Sunday as well.
So since we're planning Latta for January, let's look to do a Saturday down at Waxhaw in February... Ron, when are you guys planning your winter encampment? It would be cool if we could do them the same weekend and us ladies (and children) could sleep in the house

Ladies, I gave Karen a call about a cooking workshop the weekend of the Winter Quarters. She is more than willing to let us use the kitchen to have a cooking workshop, but she reminded me that during the Winter Quarters event, they focus on cooking using substitutions as was the case when food was hard to come by. We wouldn't be able to cook the things we'd like to cook. I'd suggest we have our workshop at another time, just so we can try the recipes we'd like to try. What are your thoughts?

That's ok with me. We can still do the cooking workshop at Waxhaw when our guys do their winter encampment, and I think we'll be able to do the cooking we want, as they would be two separate demonstrations. I'll talk to Sharon about it to be sure.
