Uh yeah mad dog and me were finishing it of with a couple spoons like two kids in moms kitchen scared we were gonna get caught, and it was freak of nature good.

Thank you, thank you - on behalf of the Saturday kitchen cooks I thank you and accept this praise of peach pies and yes, the 12 hours did contribute to the overall success of the pie - perhaps we planned it that way????Right Meri Anne??? Rolling Eyes

Appreciation

You never truly appreciate a cup of coffee until you wait for water to boil or a pie to cook.

The pie was fabulous and I was lucky to get a share, with it going so quickly.  I can't wait until you ladies show me how you cooked the bread in the beehive oven on our next trip to Waxhaw and I'm looking forward to learning how to make the chicken and dumplings too!  Let's talk about a date for a cooking day at Latta this winter.  I think we talked about sometime in January as a possibility?

January sounds great - it will turn a cold, dreary month into some fun!  And....I made my chicken & dumplings for dinner tonight - YUMMY!  Also made a homemade apple pie - this time it cooked in less than 1 hour, of course those modern conveniences help, don't they?  Rolling Eyes
