Tarheels
It has been said that we do not wish to do the fund raisers that the ladies were doing once up on a time . So may I humbly suggest we pass the hat. We need our colors painted , and two flag staffs to proudly display them.  and im sure in the future we will need other unit dodads and frills. let me know what u all think, if it a go , lets get it rolling

I am more interested in getting a proper Quartermaster set up to handle a family of four than in getting reimbursed for the things Meri Anne and I have bought for the unit.  Of course proper flag poles and lettering is a must but afterwards lets concentrate on those things that will make the unit a success.

Ok, I would be willing to donate my time to make a couple of kids (both male & female) outfits (I have extra fabric for boys pants and shirts and girls growth dresses and/or skirt blouse combos) and a civilian adult male outfit.  Does anyone have any adult female or military items they'd like to donate to the quartermaster trunk?  I think before we purchase anything, we see what we can all donate.  After that, we could donate $$ to the quartermaster to purchase leather goods for the military impression, as that is something we don't usually have extras of (uniform pieces we can usually find from someone's extras).

I think passing the hat for flag poles and stands is a great idea and our family would be happy to make a contribution.  Meri Anne, with your guidance, I may be able to help you sew some things up.  The girls smaller than Leanne can continue to borrow her outfits, though she's not ready to give them up yet permanently and we're actually hoping to be able to add to the lengths and get a little more wear out of them.  But, I'd be happy to donate some time for sewing with my friends!
